How to take care of your clothes properly?

When it comes to taking care of clothes, there are many techniques available. Everyone wants their clothes to last for years and keep them as good as new. That is why; people use various techniques to manage their garments.
Here are some tips to take care of clothes:
  • Most people wait till all the clothes are real dirty before washing them. It is not good for any fabrics and it makes stains stronger. Try to clean them more often.
  • Do not try to clean stubborn stains yourself. It may damage fabrics and make them look worn. Use professional services of dry cleaning to get these stains removed without any damage.
  • Check pockets before machine or hand washing. Objects like pens etc., can cause real damage to clothes while laundry. That is why make sure to check pockets.
  • Make sure to check the tags on garments before washing. Every fabric is different than others, that is why manufacturing companies give instructions of tags. Read the instruction to properly wash and make fabrics last for years.
  • Choose good detergents if you are doing laundry at home. Harsh detergents can damage fabrics badly. Use proper amount of these cleaning solvents.
  • Launder white and colored fabrics separately. Colored ones can affects white ones.
  • While ironing, keep the temperature according to the garment. Some of them need less heat while some others need much more heat.
  • Do the rinsing well because remaining soap can be harmful. It can also cause allergies and itching etc.
  • Some clothes should not be washed in hot water because it can shrink them. Check the tags before washing them. Some examples are woolen and elastic.
  • Try not to use dryer while washing. Dryer can damage some fabrics and using it for long time cause harm to others too.
  • Fold and manage garments properly. Throwing them here and there is not good for them. Fold them neatly and keep them in clean drawers properly.
  • Hang delicate clothes in hangers in neat place. By this, you can avoid fold creases and lines.
  • Use soft brush for cleaning, so that you don’t cause any damage during process.
  • While drying, keep turning garments. This way they will dry faster and cause less fold line and wrinkles.
Launder garments according to their nature. If they can be hand washed, do it, however if they need dry cleaning, then take help of a company that provides laundry pick up services. With the professional help, you garment will be as good as new.
